The One Minute To-Do List

Recommended: Yes

Summary: Perfect for the busy person, this book outlines how to effectively prioritize your tasks in a matter of minutes.

Thoughts: Most people, myself included, use some form of task tracking principles that are outdated and can not handle the volume of changed priorities as the business environment now requires. I found a majority of my time was taken by re-prioritizing and re-numbering my tasks–time, which I can not afford to give.

Michael’s approach is flexible and broad as well as addressed many issues that I could not solve for, such as which venue to use in managing my tasks. Within the book, he gives step-by-step instructions on how to use Microsoft Outlook Tasks functionality to match his system. In addition, he also has free videos on how to actually perform the steps in which you can access!

The book took a few hours to read, minutes to implement the basic structure of his system, then a little over an hour to move from my ABC and number priority over to his 1MTD process.

My only issue is–which book of his to read next, Master Your Workday Now or Total Workday Control Using Microsoft Outlook…hum.
